Bag Tag

Thanks Em for getting me to acutally take EVERYTHING out of my diaper bag :) So, here's what's inside my diaper bag right now.

****Rule: You can't clean anything out first!******

- 2 diapers (both crappy brands I bought when I was in Utah. fyi, cheap diapers are a pain)- wet wipe case that really needs to be re-filled

- a few mega blocks

- a bib that says "macho"

- crayons
- some church pictures for Jax to look at during Sacrament.
- a random dragonfly picture that belongs to the baby einstein flash card set
- 2 bath toy creature shape things
- a cheerio (can you find it?)
- a random spatula thingy (I've never seen it before today, maybe a friends?Anyone missing a toy spatula?)
- A few of Jax's books. Maisy, Hungry Caterpillar, That's not my Train, First Words, Dear Zoo(his all time favorite), and some random animal touch and feel book.
- some winnie the pooh color cards that he couldn't care less about.
- inside side pocket (which I forgot to empty) was a thing of purel, and some lip gloss.

So there's my crammed diaper bag. I Don't know what I'm going to do when the next kiddo comes. I'll just have to be more organized and only carry the essentials. Have fun with this one girls!
I tag you RaQuelle!

Spring!

I really do love living in Worthington, and the best part is living 3 houses down from such a great little park. Jax loves it so much he can walk there all by himself, and I laugh as he gets a little distracted on the way there with things like picking dandelions, and jumping onto curbs. Then he sees the park and runs his little heart out towards the swings, then the slide. Oh what fun!

I just love this kid!

7 days in Utah!

Heaven knows I needed a little break from Ohio, and I had so much fun in Utah visiting my family. Here's a peek at some of the things we did.
I was able to meet my new niece, Reese, on her blessing day! This is her blessing dress that my mom made. This gorgeous dress really makes me want a little girl :) Jax loved all his uncles, and I had to laugh when I let Chase do his hair.
Spiky all over. They used a LOT of gel, because that spike didn't let up all day long.
Jax and I were able to see Grandma and Grandpa Miner at the Aquarium. This is the not the best shot, but Jax had so much fun.
Grandma Miner is so awesome! She had fun hanging out with her 20th Grandchild.

My younger brothers are the best babysitters. Here they are throwing Jax up in the air and I finally got this shot. I love Jax's pose, and his right hand pointing to the right. SO funny. Papa Doug had fun with "the deedle deedle dee" man. Jax was speaking in some sort of Chinese gibberish the whole time we were there. Everyone got a kick out of it.
Uncle Preston is Jax's buddy! Hey, they have the same hair.
This was taken at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point. This is the erosion table where kids can play with the sand and water. It's pretty cool.
He looks like a little Egyptian, but this was his bib for the water tables. SO cute!

In Utah

Jax and I are in Utah visiting my family and we are having a blast.  The weather has been perfect, and we've had a lot of fun.  Pictures to come, but I just have to say how much I miss looking out the window and seeing the big rockies. LOVE IT!

Sloppy Joes and Bubbles

A couple days ago I was at Kroger and had a sudden desire to buy some lean ground sirloin to make sloppy joes. I can't even tell you how long it's been since I've had yummy joes, probably college years, but they just sounded too tempting to pass up. Now, most people know that Jared doesn't eat red meat, but I do and I've decided it's fine for Jax to have it occassionally too. So, this picture shows just how much he loved his sloppy joes. There really was no stopping him once I saw how enthusiastically he was shoving fistfulls of food into his mouth. The cleanup was a doozy, but it was all worth it. fyi; ( I can't keep a bib on this kid, but oxyclean got the stains out of his white onesie really well :)
So, after lunch we played with our famous bubbles,. I got them from Gymboree and they blow so many tiny little bubbles that don't pop for a long time. The lady from our Library story time uses these bubbles everytime and the kids are alaways fascinated. So, here's my recommedation for some great bubbles.

Jax certainly loves them.

Easter

It was too cold and soggy outside in our yard to do a traditional Easter egg hunt, so we did it inside, and Jax loved all the eggs. He liked to gather them up.....
Then drop them all on the floor. He entertained himself for hours doing this.

He was also intrigued with opening and closing the eggs, although the closing part was a little tricky so he made me help him.

hmmm, really bad picture, but you get the idea. I thought he looked super cute in his Easter shirt.

I love baby showers!

I was so excited to host a baby shower for my wonderful friend Stephanie. Anne and I whipped up a pretty yummy spread, with help of course from Shauna ( thanks Shauna :) and Carmen who made the amazingly cute cake. Wow, now that's talent. I had so much fun with all these girls and it was a great turn out.
