Then. Now.

10 years ago I was a blonde chick that wore shirts that played peek-a-boo with my tummy. And I met this hunka hunka burnin brown-hair love that sported a sweet leather jacket and drove a wicked fast Acura.

Now I'm a true brunette married to a still incredibly handsome salt n' peppa haired genius of a nerd :). The Acura and jacket are long gone as are those tummy shirt thingies I used to wear. But some things just get better with time. I love more than I could have ever imagined. I love this guy!
Happy 10th Anniversary babe! (on the 30th)

I really related to this mother, her little boy and his amazing insight into living with autism. This is SO my life! Some days are more "autism-y" than others. Those days can be hard. And why are some days less "autism-y"? I can never figure it out. It's just that way.

re-posting

I had to take this off my blog temporarily but it's back!

I made this video of my kids during Autism Awareness month.

Payson Canyon

Last Sunday we went for a hike up Payson Canyon.

I sound like a broken record, but my kids love hiking. And dirt. And rocks. And water.

The waterfall was raging! It was LOUD and super cool to watch from up top. Usually we go down to the bottom but the water levels were crazy high.

love how excited Tyce was- and also the action shot of Jax happily running and jumping in excitement ;)

more happiness and jumping :)

Seriously, I don't think there are two boys on this planet that love throwing rocks in the water more than these two. Look how excited they are about the rocks they found! It just makes me smile.

I've always known that my husband loves strange animals.

But this is beyond weird.

Teacup pigs.

I mean I'll admit they are slightly cute in this picture.

But...it's a pig people. A pig.

Am I the only one that puts this in the "definite no" category?
Thoughts???? Feelings????

The old switch-er-oo

Exhibit A: generic Honey Nut Cheerios.

My kids tell me it's "yucky" and "slimey"

They won't touch it.

Exhibit B: The Real Deal

My kids think it's "great" and "yummy" and eat bowls and bowls and bowls of the stuff.

One day I was feeling a little evil. I decided to deceive my poor children. All because I wanted to save $3.

Yep, it was the old switch-er-oo in action people.

Can you just hear me laughing an evil laugh as I pull this off: "ah haa haa haa"

They ate bowls. And bowls. And bowls of the "fake" stuff.

They were none the wiser.

And I bought some diet coke with the money I saved :)

Lunch with Grammy and Grandpa

Last Saturday Jared had the day off.

Miracle!

We headed up to Salt Lake to go to lunch with grandparents.

The Garden restaurant is right next to the Salt Lake temple where Jared and I were married 10 years ago May 30th.

Wow.....10 years- seems like so long in some ways and like a blink of an eye in other ways

Funny huh.

Jared and his pops

The boys were quite happy and behaved relatively well given there was this awesome view, and a water fountain right by our table.
Now that I think about it I'm shocked they didn't come out of the luncheon totally soaked!
It was fun- thanks Grammy and Grandpa

quiet time/nap time

Yesterday I put the boys down for naptime (Tyce) and quiet time (Jax)

All was quiet for quite a while so I thought maybe they successfully drifted off to sleep.

Nope

I went outside to pull a few weeds and this is what I saw

Two heads :)

They were all smiles- I guess Springtime is just too intriguing.
