Picky picky picky!

I realize many toddlers are picky eaters, but come on! Jax is going through a tough phase right now where all he will eat is: Milk, juice, shredded cheddar cheese, cheerios and goldfish crackers. That is pretty much it. He also slugs down those expensive gerber canned pastas. He eats no fruits and veggies, aside from an occasional banana, and he won't even try a single sugary treat. I feel bad because if he doesn't like what is on his tray, he just won't eat. I'll ask him if he's done and he'll say yes. He'd go all day without eating if it meant he had to eat anything besides the mentioned foods. He is just very weary of trying new foods and the moment they come near his mouth he squirms and protests and wants nothing to do with it. Will he just grow out of it I wonder?

I'm so glad when daddy comes home...

One of my favorite times of the day is when Jared comes home from work. He and Jax spend about an hour having some male bonding time while I go to the gym, or go shopping, or whatever! I love watching these two play.

I love it when Jax gets goofy and laughs his head off. When he is tickled he jsut can't stop the belly laughing. Isn't that just the best feeling in the world?!

Side note comment: I really really REALLY want to learn how to take better pictures. I mean I realize in these I should have shut my closet for example and picked up the stuff from the floor, but sometimes I just grab the cam and go picture happy. I need info on lighting, angles, photoshop options (I don't have it currently I just edit on picasa) and pretty much anything to help me take better pics. So, tips anyone???

Love saving $ on diapers!

I absolutely LOVE a great deal, and here's one for you on Pampers diapers. I use Pampers or Huggies; whichever is on sale. I usually buy Huggies at Costco for $40 a box. This is the best deal I know of for an everyday price. It breaks down to this price per diaper:
Size 2 (.15 cents)
Size 3 (.17)
Size 4 (.20)
Size 5 (.22)

Now, sometimes you'll get sales for the jumbo packs of Pampers or Huggies for $7.99 per jumbo at Kroger, or other supermakets, which breaks down to this per diaper:
Size 2 (.16 cents)
Size 3 (.20)
Size 4 (.23)
Size 5 (.26)

Now here's where I get REALLY excited. Target has a sale right now for $5 off when you buy any size pampers jumbo pack (which are on sale this week for $8.50), and a pack of 181 count or more pampers wipes ( I could only find the 231 count) . So let's just keep it simple and say that's $2.50 off the diapers, and $2.50 off the wipes.
So, at $6 per jumbo it breaks down to this per diaper:
Size 2 (.12 cents)
Size 3 (.15)
Size 4 (.17)
Size 5 (.20)

BUT, that's not all. There is also a coupon for a free $5 Target gift card when you purchase both pampers diapers and the wipes. AWESOME DEAL! YOu can use that towards diapers the next time you go in! Now, I tried this coupon deal at two different Targets; the first store accepted both the $5 off and $5 gift card, but the other store didn't let me use both, only one or the other. So I guess it depends on where you go, but still $5 off the diapers and the wipes breaks down to a pretty good deal.

I usually buy wipes at Costco too, but with this deal they are seriously about half price compared to Costco. I am super pumped!!!

Can you say GROWTH SPURT!

24 weeks and Oh how the belly can grow. I can't believe the growth spurt I've had the past month. Some women have a nice slow and steady weight gain during pregnancy; not me. I spike, then plateau and start the cycle all over again. It's crazy. But, I am feeling fine and very excited to be getting ever closer to my October 27th due date. Hmmm, these shade shirts are not quite covering me up anymore.

My little runner, climber and jumper

Jax's knees have seen better days; this picture doesn't capture half of his scrapes and bruises. We spend most of our days outside going on various adventures to the park, and the zoo, and doing yard work. He loves jumping and running and especially climbing; but inevitably he gets a little too excited and takes a tumble and/or gets an "ouch". I guess it's a good thing he's a bit adventurous but sometimes it makes me so nervous!. He is a tough kid though and always gets right back up and starts playing again. Poor little knees; I guess I should stock up on Neosporin and bandaids.

What a little heart breaker. I'd take 10 just like him.
